Handmade gingerbread house!

This Christmas I have been very pastry productive! After the greek melomakarona, this time I think I exceeded my expectations :) I finally made a gingerbread house!! It may sound ridiculous but I'm certainly not a pastry chef and I always though it was a bit of challenge trying to do something like that. The truth is that I desperately want to buy a house coup pate but I found it in Greece around 30euros! To my surprise I found the actually biscuits to built the house already shaped at IKEA for only 3.5euros!

So IKEA made its miracle and the result was pretty yummy!

What I used to ''built'' the house is melted sugar that ends to be pure caramel 1000% fat free :)) ,chocolate fudging in order for the biscuits and the smarties to glue and chocolate sticks to make it more stable! And that was it. Pretty simple but much impressive.

Looking forward for the demolition! :)

 

 

Boxing day! (Wrapping ideas)

What completes the Christmas spirit and make us looking forward for those days each year are the gifts that we give to each other! Even if the Santa brings them or just the boxing day is the excuse we spontaneously wait for someone to thing about us and bring us something. I know that as they say its all about the gesture and not the actual gift, but in terms of spreading the happiness around as well as get the actual Christmas spirit  there is no better idea than wrapping the gift in a creative personalized way! Maybe it took you ages to find the perfect gift for each of your beloved ones however delivering it in a fancy handmade wrapping may do the difference! So don't get bored and start wrapping! Handmade tote bags

OK,I admit it, tote bags are more like an obsession for me. I find them like a challenge as for me they are an empty canvas ready to be embellished.The options are endless. You can alter a simple tote bag by a billion ways. This Easter at my Easter bazaar I start my summer collection of tote bags with the first 10 promising ones. I already promised myself to find time during the summer in order to create more. What do you think of the first 10??

Sorry it's being so long since I last post something. From one part my job,from the other Pinterest are keeping me busy enough :)) But anyways, this post is dedicated to my dearest friend Eleni. I met Eleni not to many years ago to a rather unorganised bazaar. I admired her work from the very first moment but most I admire Eleni as a person.Strong and dedicated, during those crucial economically speaking days for Greece, Eleni keeps creating jewellery,decorative,wedding invitations even wedding decorations like if she is from a different,full of magic world.
