Lucky charms 2014

After a life changing trip to Africa I am struggling to get things back to normal, thus I made and I am sharing with you my handmade lucky charms for 2014. (I will get back to you soon with photos of my African trip)

So,this year charm is dedicated to the house/the home. The home is often the part that is closest to the heart of the owner.

Places like the house can stimulate thoughts about who a person is, who it was or who can become.

In this spirit, this year, my charms want to be donated as food for thought not only for who we are, but who we were and what we can become.

Charms are available to travel where you decide. Contact me for orders and information.
Happy Holidays!

Wish books

The wish book along with the photos are the lasting moments of the baptism day.

If you are a crafter the wish book is the perfect gift to make to the family of the baby  (remember though to give it before the ceremony ;) )) In that book, which is usually placed somewhere by the candy bar, the guests can write their wishes to the baby and the family. Imagine you reading years later the wish books with your children! What a wonderful moment that would be!

For Eriettas christening I made a wish book of course with some cupcake glimpse in accordance with our theme and the cupcake invitations!

Kostakis had his wish book as well!

Lavender bunny bag tutorial

Finally Spring has sprang!! Easter is knocking the door and so do Easter crafts! Searching on my pinterest Easter board for some inspiration, I decided this year I didn't want something eggy but maybe something useful for the home although Easter themed. After, hours of searching (you know how pinterest search is..)here is my tutorial of how to make a bunny lavender bag for your closets!

First copy the bunny pattern on a piece of paper.
Then trace it on the fabric and cut 2 identical pieces.

Afterwards, put together the pieces with a simple running stitch but don't forget to leave a gap in between the ears because that is from where, when finish, you will put the lavender.

When you have everything sewed just put the lavender inside -I put the lavender inside a tulle so as to make it more puffy- and close the bunny bag with a nice bow. Your lavender bunny bag is ready to spread the spring to your closets!

PS:You can alternatively fill the bunny bag with candies and offer it as a treat to your children!!

Boxing day! (Wrapping ideas)

What completes the Christmas spirit and make us looking forward for those days each year are the gifts that we give to each other! Even if the Santa brings them or just the boxing day is the excuse we spontaneously wait for someone to thing about us and bring us something. I know that as they say its all about the gesture and not the actual gift, but in terms of spreading the happiness around as well as get the actual Christmas spirit  there is no better idea than wrapping the gift in a creative personalized way! Maybe it took you ages to find the perfect gift for each of your beloved ones however delivering it in a fancy handmade wrapping may do the difference! So don't get bored and start wrapping! Here, I share with you some wrapping ideas to complete boxing day with the most creative way!

DIY Cardboard Pendant Light

I am a big fun of recycling and re purposing so when I first saw the tutorial for this pendant light at Poppytalk I started to look around for spare cardboards in order to put this DIY to my to do list.

However, when I forward the link to Don Naxioman he went wild! A few days later he was already sending me photos of my new pendant light! He even sent me photos while in action so that I can share them with you! Love it!

I really like the detail of the letters on the cardboard!

Don Naxioman decided to go one step further and adjust wire in order to make it more stable!( Pro...)

Looking forward to receiving my new perfect pendant light to bright my house soon!
